Trance Líquido is pleased to announce an art-typography open-call where all fine artists are invited to submit their projects. The artworks submitted should show an evident integration of textual words as part of its proposal. This exhibition will be held at the Experimental Pavilion hosted by El Festival de la Palabra Puerto Rico 2010.

This event will be presented from May 4 to 9, 2010 in the facilities of Cuartel de Ballajá in Old San Juan. This open-call is issued based on the interest to show and promote the new discourses inherent on new media.

El Festival de la Palabra is a cultural event that seeks to promote literature as well as expand the use of written words. The theme for this exhibition is:Tipografía.

Rules:

All participating artist MUST sign a participation document. Download it here.
Only artworks into the category of new media or show some amount of experimentation with other than traditional media will be accepted.
Arworks MUST be exhibition – ready.
The selection of the artworks will be curated by Trance Líquido.
The criteria in which the artworks will be selected are: artistic quality, creativity and experimentation with the media, innovation and most important, if follow the theme proposed.
Artworks MUST be submitted in or before April 15, 2010.
Chosen artist will be notified via e-mail from April 17, 2010.
Artworks should be ready and/or mounted from May 1 to 3, 2010.

Procedures:

Send the following information with the subject: Tipografía to info@tranceliquido.com
Biography (100 words max)
Pictures of the artworks as it should be presented and a brief description of it. (High-Res images but no more than 3 mb each)
Artist photo (Face MUST be visible).
Description and physical and conceptual explanation of the artwork.
Artwork information: Name of the artwork, artist name, medium, measures, year and country.
