Entre la Piedra y la Flor con Lee Wel...

Lee Wells is an artist, exhibition organizer and advisor currently living and working New York. His practice primarily questions systems of power and control and has been exhibited internationally. He is a co-founder and director of IFAC-arts. Wells is currently a curator at large for Scope Art Fairs and is a site editor for www.rhizome.org, an affiliate of the New Museum of Contemporary Art .

The Australia Council has managed and funded Australian representation for more than 30 years. Previous Australian representatives at the Venice Biennale include Judy Watson, Howard Arkley, Patricia Piccinini and Ricky Swallow. Newly commissioned projects by three Australian artists will be located at three sites in Venice: Susan Norrie at Palazzo Giustinian Lolin, Daniel von Sturmer at the Australian Pavilion and Callum Morton at Palazzo Zenobio.

Deletrearte de Biaggi en Roka

En esta exhibición se presenta un arte en evidente transición de mundos apartes pero entrelazados. Veremos un repertorio de posibilidades artísticas que celebran el mero hecho de crear. “Deletrearte" incluye desde elaboradas pinturas en óleo sobre lienzo y gravados tallados sobre madera, hasta esculturas envueltas en mosaicos y collages en papel forrando el espacio.

Sharjah Biennial 8

The Biennial's programme includes exhibitions, performances, a film programme curated by Mark Nash and a symposium organised in collaboration with the American University of Sharjah, RSA (London) and curatorial practice Latitudes (Barcelona). The entire city of Sharjah is being offered to more than 80 international artists for the creation of new site-specific work. Exhibitions, performances and events will take place across a wide range of venues including the Sharjah Art Museum, the Expo Centre, the Heritage Area of Sharjah, and several outdoor urban and natural sites.
