Sculpture on Loan Program
The Port of San Diego is currently accepting submissions for its Sculpture-on-Loan Program, which serves to place one or more significant sculptures at high-visibility areas in the tidelands of San Diego Bay. The Port of San Diego has a vibrant public art program created in 1996 to place first-class art in public spaces along the tidelands of San Diego Bay. Public Art at the Port of San Diego celebrates the city’s international ties, vibrant culture, diversity and unique natural environment while creating memorable spaces. Sculptors of national and international standing as well as exceptional creativity are encouraged to apply.
The budget for this program ranges from 100 to 150,000 dollars for a loan period of no less than one year. Budget is all-inclusive and covers transportation, installation, loan fee, requisite anchoring costs and loan stipulations. Minimum one-year loan.
