Matteo Curcio and Marinella Mastrosimone arrive to this side of the word with a new baby, a beautifully crafted, mixed and performed new production. This time, a self called Mosetta EP. Their music is polished, stylish and to the very bottom, more cleaner than most acts from the same style of music. They sound like many and none at all. In their music you can hear some Jazz, Ambient, Dance-Club, Trip-Hop, lounge and alternative sounds but most of their tunes dance in the european trip-hop vein.

To listen to their music is to have an encounter with Portishead, Morcheeba, The Orb, Massive Attack as well as some downtempos like Clémentine, The Strike Boys, Man Ray, all in the same room, all jamming and playing. But as i said before, they have mastered their sound and none of these references are noticeable with a first approach. Although these italians separate themselves from any specific style, their approach to music is very ecclectic, smooth and global making them more like an artistic project than a musical one.

The downside about this production… its an EP, and because an ep is usually 5 to 6 songs its pretty easy to stay hungry for more. This is the kind of music that when heard the first time surely will make you an addict crying for more. We highly recommend this cd as well as all their music.
